Long Island Business News is looking for a successful, innovative publisher to lead Long Island Business News, part of the BridgeTower Media network. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding a group of talented individuals responsible for this premier source of business information and events for the Long Island business community.
This role is responsible for leading all sales efforts including digital, event sponsorship, special products and print and managing a team to sustained success. The right candidate will have experience with business to business or niche sales and a proven track record of growing revenue for targeted products. We’re a digital-first organization that prides itself on providing our audience with information that they can’t get anywhere else. The publisher will be expected to represent the brand, assist with operations, and support editorial but also maintain a strong focus on sales driving digital and print advertising, presenting high-visibility events, developing ancillary revenue streams and creating a culture that motivates success.
We are seeking a proven leader with excellent management skills, experience with P&L and budgets, as well as experience leading a solutions-based sales team. Only strategic thinkers with the ability to execute on tactical needs should apply. This is a hands-on, self-motivated, proactive role.
