Watchdog GA Reporter
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is looking for an experienced watchdog reporter with the skills and drive to expose fraud, corruption and injustice. We’re looking for someone who can develop sources across the region – from a range of residents and civic leaders in our diverse community -- and pursue stories that will make a difference in our readers’ lives.
The ideal candidate will be able to turn daily stories as well as identify trends, spot enterprise stories and put breaking news in context. We want an aggressive reporter who can sift through public records, analyze data, doggedly pursue a story, and find news that others have overlooked.
This person must be able to digest complex issues in government, business and criminal justice, work well with colleagues, and write fairly, clearly, accurately and authoritatively.
Candidates should have proven track records as strong journalists and storytellers, and must have excellent document, public records and digital skills.
This is a chance to produce first-rate, hard-hitting journalism in a vibrant and diverse region of 2.8 million people.
