Job Description

SUMMARY: Support the Studio’s mission to be the studio of choice by providing our clients with the finest customer service. The Director of Client Services is responsible for the client relations, sales, and marketing of the Studio facility and ensuring that customer service exceeds
expectations. Legislatively represents and protects organization’s interests. The scope extends to parent and sub-properties marketing and brand awareness where they act as a central team member to communicate, organize, prioritize and achieve strategic internal and external goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development and Sales

  • Responsible for the marketing and selling of all Studio facilities and services of stage space
  • Facilitate concierge level client relations
  • Engage current, new, and future clients and tenants
  • Maintain and generate new sources of revenue
  • Manage sales, lead reports, and ensures all information is up to date and tracked efficiently
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key industry executives keeping all informed of Studio’s key programs
  • Keep up to date with market trends and competitive studio rates
  • Ensure financial goals are being met and/or exceeded

Studio Marketing and Outreach

  • Develop strategic sales, marketing and advertising plans with the General Manager
  • Develop an annual marketing budget and monitor variances to budget.
  • Oversee coordination of special events that benefit and support the Sylmar Studios initiatives and cultivate healthy relationships with government, local businesses and neighbors.
  • Serve as the main contact for any media inquiry.
  • Innovate and implement creative ways to market and sell the Studio facilities and services
  • Coordinate with various client marketing events
  • Oversee community programs and involvement in future studio expansion and other projects closely associated with the Studio
  • Oversee the daily maintenance of the Sylmar Studios social media presence
  • Seamlessly maintain relationships with key industry executives keeping all informed of Studio's key programs including Set Lighting and Grip Department
  • Ensures that the Studio’s brand stays consistent within guidelines
  • Coordinate press releases for notable events and activities associated with the studio and/or employees.
  • Develop and oversee all website content
  • Responsible for promoting and protecting the image of all Studio facilities and services to entertainment community and associated businesses

Client Negotiations and Contract Drafting

  • Negotiate all terms and conditions associated with the rental of all Studio facilities and services in conjunction with the General Manager
  • Ensure all facilities and service pricing meets the Studio’s profitability objectives
  • Draft client contracts, agreements and amendments with the guidance of the General Manager
  • Maintain and coordinate client files which include:
    • Original Contracts/ Electronic Contracts
    • All Correspondence
    • Changes/Revisions
    • Amendments
    • Clarifications
    • Maintain, review, and keep current all Certificate of Insurance

Studio Operations

  • Interface with all Studio departments daily to accomplish requests in all areas, i.e., telecom, lighting and grip, facilities, security, parking and janitorial, etc. with work orders for facility projects
  • Oversee daily operations of Café and it’s employees and work with Facilities Department to maintain the space
  • Formalize a communication process for most effective and efficient department updates
  • Oversee all ancillary billing
  • Ensure all process and procedures are adhered to
  • Oversee development and coordination of special events utilizing Café and assigned studio areas
  • Coordinate the transition of new clients upon move in and move out
  • Conduct contract review meetings with the operations team once deals are finalized and prior to move in.

External Marketing and Communication Team Management

  • Centralize data, communication, and strategic goals for internal and external property communication, sales, and marketing
  • Create and manage regular agenda and itemized list, feedback, and status per property. Organize and prioritize tasks and deadlines.
  • Assist with the rebranding of parent and sub properties
  • Engage in the RFP process
  • Establish and manage annual budget with marketing team
  • Coordinate current and future potential vendor list
  • Maintain working knowledge of all properties and activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Uses Word, Excel, email, social media and internet
  • Ability to successfully see, maintain and generate new revenue, selling large scale space at maximum profit potential
  • Maintain current knowledge of sales, marketing, Studio, and stage trends
  • Possess and continually updates working knowledge of contract legalize and business methodology in relation to Studio contracts
  • Ability to provide and cultivate exceptional client and tenant relations
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with diverse populations
  • Ability to multi-task with composure in a fast paced environment with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions
  • Make sound decision and set goals based on available information and evaluate situations and requirements to plan and adjust work accordingly
  • Ability to think strategically and generate new ideas and approaches to communications, branding, sales, and marketing
  • Must be able to work independently and without direct supervision; able to make decisions about the severity of variable situations and evaluate the most appropriate response; able to make appropriate decisions related to customer requests
  • Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Demonstrate sound work ethics and confidentiality

EDUCATION:
• College degree or equivalent experience.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPOSURES:
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a seated position, go outside, stand,
walk and move about the property, climb stairs, bend and reach. Vision with or without
correction must be sufficient to read. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds daily; up to 25
pounds occasionally. Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of talking
and impart thoughts or ideas accurately.
