Assistant General Manager

We're searching for an experienced Assistant General Manager for our 67-room property to help our general manager plan and oversee the hotel's day-to-day operations. When the general manager is unavailable, you will be in charge of supervising personnel, dealing with client problems, and ensuring that our customers enjoy a 5-star experience. Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic about providing exceptional customer service while adhering to hotel budget and quality standards. A bachelor's degree in hospitality management and three years of managerial experience in the hospitality business are strongly preferred. Responsibilities:- Propose adjustments that will increase hotel profitability by assessing department performance and identifying issue areas
- Ensure that all local, state, and federal rules and regulations, as well as any corporate or brand-established policies and practices, are followed
- Assist general manager in the day-to-day operation of the hotel in maintaining all standards of guest service
- Follows procedures to ensure guest expectations are met consistently by each department of the organization.

- Participates in team-building to encourage open communication between staff members and management.
- Maintains excellent guest relations and communication
- Performs sales calls, advertising, and marketing to promote additional room sales for the property.
- Facilitates positive public and community relations.
- Assists Maintenance person in maintenance, repairs and grounds-keeping administration for all aspects of the property, including equipment
- Enforces security and safety procedures, including training as well as record keeping of incidents and outcomes.
- Participates in the system's educational events.
- ·All other tasks and functions as determined by the General Manager and management company
- Must be able to work all shift and cover shifts for employees that call in as well
- Onsite Assistant Manager will oversee all aspects of hotel operations including: compliance to brand standards, promoting high guest satisfaction and bottom line profitability.
- Showcase exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong guest-focused mentality
- A proven record of experience managing a team, preferably in a hospitality role, is required
- A high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in hospitality management or a related field
- 3+ years of experience working in a hotel or the hospitality industry required
