Job Title: Digital Media Specialist

Salary: $45,000-$50,000 per year, full time

Hours: Monday-Friday 9-5pm, and occasional events in the evenings/weekends

Location: Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation Headquarters - Plano, TX

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our agency as the Digital Media Specialist. This individual will be responsible to effectively inform and promote TMWF, its brand, mission, and programs and services on digital marketing channels. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing TMWF’s digital media strategy and own all digital marketing channels, including but not limited to: social media, website, email, newsletters and blogs. They will create appealing, creative and engaging content that promotes brand awareness, articulates our message, builds our audience, and generates engagement. This role will also generate content and provide digital marketing support for all agency programs, including identifying and creating storytelling opportunities and building campaigns.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help create style guidelines and brand voice outlines to identify, share, promote and create awareness for TMWF’s brand
  • Establish and maintain our web presence
  • Build annual social media content calendar, plan content and post to social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok)
  • Capture and analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and social media best practices to measure the success of social media campaigns
  • Design digital media campaigns aligned with TMWF’s brand
  • Coordinate the creation of digital content (e.g. website, blogs, press releases, podcasts, e-newsletters)
  • Develop and maintain SOP's for crisis communications
  • Stay up to date with the latest digital media developments and trends
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Produce creative graphics, videos, copy, and collateral that fits established brand standards for the agency
  • Take high quality digital photos and videos to be used as material for a variety of agency needs
  • Assist in producing the Annual Report and Impact Report
  • Create compelling graphics and collateral for events and fundraising campaigns
  • Develop effective communication procedures and policies for various situations or crises
  • Perform industry research of other non-profits, DV agencies and relevant agencies in a similar space
  • Manage the website, SEO strategy and content, and monitor Google Analytics
  • Attend committee meetings, fundraising events, and/or programs as needed
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in graphic design and social media
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in related field such as Journalism, English Communications or Marketing
  • 2-5 years of social media communications, marketing and/or nonprofit fieldwork preferred
  • Skilled in MS Word, WordPress, Excel, Canva, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, iMovie, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Spark, and/or similar programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented with good multitasking and organizational skills
  • Self-starter and ability to work as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends
  • Tolerate prolonged sitting or standing. Requires bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying objects up to 25 lbs., with or without accommodations
