Position Summary:
Finish Line® is seeking a Sales & Marketing Account Manager to join its team in our Hauppauge, NY headquarters. In this role you will be tasked with managing a portfolio of domestic and international distributors. You will use your communication skills to deliver product information to our distributor’s sales & marketing teams, who in turn will inform and motivate their media and key dealers. When working with a distributor’s sales and marketing teams, you will use your marketing skills to help develop and execute marketing & PR plans, which are often customized for a specific distributor or country. You will be expected to travel from time to time to visit distributors, key retailers, and attend important industry events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build meaningful relationships with existing distributors and help them find ways to increase their sales of Finish Line® products.
- Help elevate brand awareness throughout the territories you manage.
- Clearly and efficiently communicate, orally and in writing, the strength of our brands, the effectiveness and uniqueness of our products.
- Respond to requests coming from distributors, sales reps, retailers, and occasionally, consumers.
- Use your creativity and feel for a given market or distributor to suggest marketing ideas that can be executed in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
- Use analytical skills to identify trends, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
Ideal Requirements:
- Excellent presentation and people skills, and preferably in a prior job that required selling a product or service.
- Collegiate courses and/or work experience involving the practice of effective and cost-efficient marketing.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, set goals and communicate updated status to team members.
- An interest in the sport of cycling is preferred, but not essential.
- Familiarity with specialty retailing and two-step distribution.
- Highly organized, with an attention to detail that allows for effective output without a high level of direct supervision.
- A preference to work in a fast-paced environment, where no 2 days are alike.
- Ability and willingness to do what it takes to complete projects in a timely manner.
Benefits:
- Starting base salary of $60,000-$75,000, plus variable income opportunities.
- Two weeks of vacation in year 1. Three weeks of vacation in years 2-8. Four weeks in years 9-19. Five weeks after 19 years of employment.
