Accounting & Finance Specialist

Juno Search Partners, a wholly owned subsidiary of NFP, is a national talent solutions firm working every day to connect the right people with the right kind of place. Currently, we are searching for an Accounting & Finance Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity.

As our Accounting & Finance Specialist, you will be critical in managing our day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining AP/AR, preparing financial reports, and supporting payroll activities. We believe the right person for this role will be a roll-up-their-sleeve, get-stuff-done individual with solid accounting and finance experience within a fast-paced environment.

Expectations:

• Conduct daily finance/accounting activities, including overseeing accounts payable/receivables, tracking revenue, calculating sales commissions, performing reconciliations, and recording expenses.

• Responsible for collecting contractor timecards, auditing hours, and accurately recording hours worked in our payroll system weekly.

• Support our month-end close cycle in partnership with NFP finance and external accounting partners.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, research variances, and present findings focused on sales, margin, and opex; identify risks and opportunities, flag unusual items, and work with the executive team and business unit leads to propose improvements.

• Work cross-functionally with Juno and NFP stakeholders to support the annual budget and forecasting process.

• Review and recommend improvements to accounting systems, processes, and policies.

• Ad hoc projects and support, such as preparing data and financial statements, as needed.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of related experience in finance and accounting.

• Strong financial analysis skills.

• Self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to function in a fast-paced organization with multiple, sometimes competing, priorities.

• Analytical rigor and an orientation toward data-driven management and decision-making.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or other related field required.
