Job Description
The Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for identifying and generating qualified, new Wholesale business leads and prospects through various channels including market research, cold calling, email campaigns, social media and industry networking.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify potential leads through various channels (online research, social media, industry events).
- Qualify leads through phone calls, emails, and other communication methods.
- Develop and maintain a database of leads and prospects for future reference.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop effective lead generation strategies.
- Develop a tracking system with outside sales team on lead follow up and conversion to a new account.
- Analyze and report on lead generation metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
- Provide exceptional customer service to prospects.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
- Attend industry events and conferences to network and generate leads.
- 40% onsite attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with cold calling strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational, time and project management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency using the internet, digital marketing, and social media for lead generation.
- Experience with research and maintaining databases.
- Experience in customer service, sales, and lead generation.
- Experience in developing and implementing lead generation strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field a plus.
