Corporate Development & Strategy at Nextiva is a lean, highly leveraged team that tackles complex questions, hard problems, and big opportunities. This is not your typical Corp Strat team – we do not simply run company planning processes, and we are not just "internal consultants." Reporting to and working most closely with the C-Suite, our work has real output: impactful decisions and tactical outcomes. Through a multidisciplinary approach, we roll up our sleeves and always remain closely connected with the rest of the company. We approach problems with rigor, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute operational plan for yield management initiatives. Work with Finance and Operations teams to ensure proper implementation of price increases, product trial conversions, and contract renewals.
  • Optimize long-term pricing and monetization strategies. Conduct market pricing research, customer health analysis, and LTV / churn analyses.
  • Produce reporting guidelines for yield management initiatives as well as new operational processes and product launches. Work alongside Enterprise Applications team to develop accurate and automated reports.
  • Coordinate and execute financial and operational reporting workstreams for internal and external audiences, including our Board of Directors, investors, and more.
  • Build financial models and pitch decks for product launches, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions.
  • Research and identify opportunities for growth for Nextiva's businesses or expansion into new areas. Lead all aspects of transaction evaluation and execution, from idea generation through valuation, due diligence, and negotiation of legal documentation.
  • Tackle complex, ambiguous questions with rigor and autonomy, owning cross-functional projects from initial problem definition to implementing actions.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of solid financial experience in investment banking or consulting
  • Strong modeling skills and analytical ability with experience in detailed financial analyses of companies
  • Experience in rapidly seeking and creating content for company overviews, management presentations and / or industry reports
  • Experience in taking initiative and proactively creating opportunities for success
  • Stellar track record of academic, personal, and professional achievements with a superior work ethic
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field of study and/or field experience
  • 1 to 3 years of professional work experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate development, or corporate strategy teams
  • High level of integrity, emotional intelligence, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Top-notch quantitative skills including data analysis and statistical inference
  • Strong critical thinking skills and can find simple solutions to difficult problems
  • Advanced financial modeling skills with a history of creating complex financial and operational models that have been used to influence business decisions
  • Advanced presentation development and delivery skills with experience in presenting complex strategic business concepts to senior leadership
  • Self-starter mentality, with a willingness to independently identify and solve problems
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and ruthless attention to detail

  • Capable of learning new software to optimize existing processes and enhance efficiency
  • Impeccable English business writing skills, with significant experience drafting executive presentations, memos, proposals, etc
