Job Description

Carden Jennings Publishing Company, Ltd. (CJP) is a contract publisher for the National Defense Transportation Association since 1992 and seeks a talented editor that will manage all editorial aspects of the Defense Transporation Journal (DTJ) and the Source newsletter.  The desired candidate must have strong writing and editing skills that can be demonstrated through work samples.  The candidate should have a bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Communications or another discipline that demonstrates academic success working with the written word.  Candidates must be US citizens and should have a minimum of 3 years work experience in the publications field. Knowledge of defense transporation logistics and military and government passenger travel, while not required, would be a plus.  The position is remote with travel to 3 association meetings and a few business trips annually.  CJP publishes 6 issues of DTJ and 48 issues of the Source.
