ARTECHOUSE seeks to hire a Sales and Marketing Manager / Specialist. In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive consumer ticket sales for ARTECHOUSE located in Houston. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, creative and hands-on strategist executing many areas of ARTECHOUSE’s sales and marketing efforts, including but not limited to: Ticket Strategy, Promotions, Events,  Group Bookings, PR, Advertising, Grassroots Marketing, and Partnerships,  This role will also participate in  marketing team collaborations with colleagues in other locations as needed. This is a hybrid/remote position, based in the Houston area. 

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

 
  • Develop and implement multi-platform Short & Long-Term marketing plans and budgets for ARTECHOUSE Houston with the focus on meeting and exceeding sales goals, and enhance the brand recognition.
  • Develop and implement local promotions to drive ticket sales 
  • Identify and foster  partnerships with local businesses and organizations, including strategic approach, proposal development, pitch efforts, and execution. Work with national partners as relevant.
  • Analyze sales results, market trends, competitor activities and pricing strategies; utilize results to ensure the effectiveness of specific marketing strategies for the Houston location.  
  • Work closely with the Digital team to effectively market the Houston location on all relevant digital platforms and reach target audience
  • Lead non-digital local advertising efforts to drive ticket sales in Houston 
  • Lead local Group Sales efforts.
  • Work with Private Events team members to support local event sales efforts.
  • Hire and lead the local PR agency to meet Houston press goals and influencer strategy.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local media, influencers and industry professionals; act as the location’s spokesperson and ensure positive media coverage; plan and execute media events and press releases to generate publicity. 
  • Communicate effectively and work closely with the Guest Services team to develop and implement effective on-site marketing programs to enhance guest experience and build positive word of mouth.  
  • Work closely with the Guest Services team to monitor, respond to and improve online reviews
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty through personalized services and tailored experiences
  • Serve as primary liaison for Houston area strategic marketing initiatives and represent ARTECHOUSE with cultural partners and citywide organizations to ensure strong in-market network.
  • Be onsite at the Houston-based ARTECHOUSE venue for various events (e.g. press interviews, openings, etc.)
  • Travel locally as needed for meetings, networking and etc.
  • Perform other job functions as necessary to ensure continued smooth operation of the organization.
 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of marketing experience with a ticket sales-driven property in Houston or luxury hospitality (tourism attraction, entertainment property, hotel, agency that represented such property).
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue.
  • Experience developing and/or managing partnerships and promotions and managing agencies / teams
  • Group sales or private event sales a strong plus 
  • Ticketing systems a strong plus 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: 

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and strong initiative for exceeding goals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to build relationships with clients, partners and team members; and the ability to represent the company as a spokesperson 
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills; ability to create proposals and sales/marketing material that are powerful, compelling, customized, and effective.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to be proactive
  • Ability to collaborate and work well on a team
  • Knowledge of the tourism/attraction/entertainment space, both broadly and with specific expertise in Houston  marketing.
  • Detailed budget management
  • Proficiency in Google Drive and Slack a plus
