Summer 2024 Marketing Internship

Deeplocal is seeking a Marketing Intern to support research and execution of Deeplocal and Gumband marketing efforts this summer.

Deeplocal pushes the boundaries of interactive experiences for some of the world's top brands, with Gumband serving as the first SaaS platform created for interactive experiences, including those created by Deeplocal! This full-time joint marketing internship will support both the Deeplocal and Gumband marketing teams in executing marketing activities and campaigns using creative tactics and analytics across both teams' platforms. This typically looks like:

• Brand Building - help to identify and pursue new opportunities to grow the Deeplocal brand, through audience and industry research and analysis.
• Creative Writing - Write and review copy that's appropriately adapted to different mediums and matches Deeplocal's tone of voice.
• Ideation and Content Development - Contribute to the development of internal marketing ideas and help create digital content that reflects our brand.
• Industry Engagements and Recognition - Assist with researching speaking opportunities for Deeplocal and Gumband team members along with relevant acknowledgement avenues for recent work.

This is a full time hybrid opportunity. Intern must be based in either Pittsburgh, PA or New York City for the summer. Interns are compensated with competitive wages. For credit options are also available, if desired.

Desired Skills

• A background in marketing, PR, communications, journalism, and/or creative writing.
• Exceptional writing skills (short- and long-form) required; copy editing experience is a plus.
• Highly organized with strong communication and research skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with software tools including Google Workspace (G Suite), email marketing platforms (Mailchimp or similar), and web hosting and content management systems (Squarespace or similar).
• Design and/or photography skills and experience using Adobe Creative Cloud apps, especially Photoshop, is a plus!
