Job Description: Are you ready to ignite your creativity and passion for social media while making a positive impact? We're looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Specialist to join our team and help us lead the charge in prevention efforts. As our Social Media Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to shape our digital presence, drive engagement, and contribute to life-changing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft and execute compelling social media strategies to increase awareness and engagement in our prevention efforts.
  • Develop captivating content across various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and our company website.
  • Engage with our audience by monitoring and responding to comments, messages, and mentions with professionalism and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that amplify our message.
  • Dive deep into social media analytics to optimize content and strategy for maximum impact.
  • Actively contribute to statewide prevention media campaigns and collaborate with key stakeholders to disseminate critical information.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up with the latest trends and best practices in social media marketing.
  • Cultivate relationships with influencers and advocates to expand our reach and amplify our message.
  • Utilize SAMHSA toolkit strategies and collaborate with System Agency Prevention Media Campaign and other System Agencies to create impactful media campaigns.
  • Participate in monthly media state calls to stay informed and connected.
  • Compile and deliver monthly reports to the Prevention Director.
  • Applicant must work towards receiving APS/CPS certification with 18 months of hire.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Social Work, Human Service, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing social media accounts for brands or organizations.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with a knack for storytelling and content creation.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of graphic design, website, and video editing software is a plus.
  • Passion for our mission and dedication to serving vulnerable populations is highly valued.
