Job Summary:


TMG Operating LLC, located in Carmel, Indiana, has businesses in Automation and the Oil & Gas industries. We are currently seeking a dynamic candidate for the role of Inside Sales Quote Specialist. The Inside Sales Quote Specialist is responsible for providing support to our companies and coordinating between the sales team and operations by preparing quotes and pricing. The specialist will work closely with sales representatives, operations management, and procurement to ensure timely and accurate pricing information. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales support and customer service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, a CRM expert with implementation experience, and thrive in a start-up environment. This hands-on position is perfect for someone who wants to develop this role by taking ownership, supporting, and driving revenue. This position will be based in Carmel, Indiana. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive compensation package which includes base plus medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and PTO. For those working out of our headquarters, we have a business casual working environment. Work hours are 9am to 6pm EST.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Create & deliver accurate and timely quotes for all companies, ensuring that all information is complete and accurate.
  • Compile and submit sales quotes for a range of products and services for our sales department.
  • Input and track the status of quotes and proposals issued and process these internally to ensure successful resolution and sales closure.
  • Implement new MS Dynamics CRM.
  • Manage and utilize the CRM for all quotes and job-related responsibilities.
  • Develop a very clear and detailed understanding of sales needs and operation’s needs; to enable an increased conversion of bids/quotes to orders and increase in sales.
  • Interact with procurement to obtain special pricing and special-order items.
  • Collect and coordinate costs and prices in support of bids and proposals being developed by sales team and operation business services.
  • Review requests for quotes (RFQs) and ensure all necessary information is obtained.
  • Work with sales reps to identify & communicate opportunities for upselling / cross-selling.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date pricing information for all products and services requested and work with procurement on new or additional items required.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all quotes are compliant with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to internal and external inquiries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that all opportunities are properly qualified and pursued.
  • Support the team with administrative tasks, such as data entry, researching, analysis, and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development of new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and self-manage daily workload.
  • Attending all department and sales meetings as requested.
  • Conduct market research to identify sales trends and new product opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Operations on Labor and Equipment needed.
  • Coordinate with Procurement as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales quotes, bids, and pricing, including calculating profits from cost.
  • 3+ years’ experience using CRM. Preference MS Dynamics and CRM Implementation experience.
  • Experience working with multiple companies or product lines.
  • Experience in a sales support role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Expert in MS Excel.
  • Proficient in CRM software. Preference in MS Dynamics with experience in implementation of CRMs.
  • Oil and Gas industry experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to work 9 to 6pm Monday through Friday due to Operations located in Midland, Texas.


Physical Requirements:

  • Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
