Job Description

PURPOSE: The Creative Director of social media is responsible for the development of visual and storytelling solutions for deployment across social channels and digital ecosystem. This includes leading the ideation and design social-first campaigns related to product marketing, public affairs messaging, public events and out of home activations. The Creative Director specifies creative detail including brand overview, layout design, video design, interactivity, and photo and illustration direction. They also manage the brand visually, guiding internal and external clients through its nuances. They will provide creative solutions that break through the status quo of corporate communications and expanding brand’s expression while maintaining its core integrity.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      Participate in the development of social media materials and strategies that support marketing launches and programs.

·      Possess strong strategic leadership with the ability to lead a creative staff to deliver on the needs of the business.

·      Work closely with internal clients, project managers, Creative Media team and external vendors to execute social concepts.

·      Balance multiple projects and clients while ensuring quality, deadlines and budgets are maintained.

·      Ensure accuracy by understanding and applying the master brand guidelines, creative process and internal proofing.

·      Maintain strong attention to detail and superb organization skills.

·      Possess strong understanding of social trends, metrics and application of art direction.

·      Create presentations and effectively present to Leadership and Marketing teams.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·      Portfolio demonstrating excellence in social media design and concepting.

·      Experience generating creative, innovative ideas in a fast-paced environment.

·      Ability to understand and work within a corporate branding structure.

·      Understanding and appreciation for the distinction between creative expression and strategic business objectives.

 

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

·      Bachelor’s Degree (± 10 years) of agency experience in Creative Direction, content design or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

·      This position requires senior-level creativity, problem-solving and technical expertise. Excellent written and oral communication skills with particular attention to detail. Proficient using the Adobe Creative Suite, Office 365 applications and project management systems.
