Marketing Assistant - Part Time

As a Marketing Assistant, you'll play a vital role in promoting our mission to protect nature and inspire others to care for our world. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various departments to develop engaging marketing collateral, managing our digital presence, and supporting special events and sponsorships. You'll have the opportunity to showcase your creativity through graphic design, photography, and content creation while working in a fast-paced environment.

We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a self-starter attitude, and the ability to thrive in a team setting. This position requires a flexible schedule as weekend, holiday, and evening hours apply. This position will work 20-29 hours per week. The pay rate for this exciting opportunity is $15.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provides support to the Marketing, Sponsorship and Public Relations teams.
• Support the development of messaging through signage, photos/video content, blogs that promote special events, exhibits/attractions, and special experience programs.
• Provide photo, video, and graphic design support for owned Marketing/PR channels (Advertising/Media, Sales, PR, Membership) - email, social, web, on-grounds signage.
• Work with a variety of agencies and internal resources to develop creative assets for use in paid media, digital channels and in-zoo. This includes work on minor marketing film and photo shoots, including planning, logistics and day of support.
• Act as local brand steward by managing and organizing internal assets library.
• Process media and promotional ticket requests.
• Assist in the development of influencer marketing program.
• Provides administrative and departmental support to Marketing/PR teams as directed by Director of Marketing.
• Provide Sponsorship tracking/fulfilment that will include capturing photos, tracking event/activation attendance, distributing sponsor materials, managing hospitality packages, compiling relevant data, and summarizing sponsorship deal points.
• Assist with any Sponsorship promotions, meetings and events as needed.
• Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills are required.
• Organized, detail and deadline driven, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.
• Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Canva, Video-editing software (iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Premier).
• Working knowledge of HTML or some coding language and website CMS systems.
