Job Description

FPT Industrial seeks a Powertrain Sales Administration and Operations Specialist to join our team! This role will eventually grow into the Department Manager. It heavily focuses on customer service and building strong relationships with Sales, distributors, and OEMs while working with the global team to implement strategic improvements in the delivery process. This is a Salary Exempt position.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

The strategy and overall results related to regional demand planning:

  • Monthly development of order planning to work effectively with Sales, aligning to regional and local budgets.
  • Entering and presenting data to the global team monthly, understanding that this role drives for the priority within the NA region, fully representing the needs, and working to deliver the best dates and amount of product to support the NA customer base.
  • Effectively communicating any deviations or changes to the internal customers while mitigating risk and providing alternative solutions.
  • Invoicing: Constantly monitor risk based on the above plan while in touch with management and offering proactive solutions.
  • Owner of central repository for all price lists and regional pricing issues.
  • Responsible for inventory management:
    1. Working closely with Sales; supporting the drive for results.
    2. Loose parts strategy.
    3. Managing the requested inventory to support the customer and drive the yearly sales plan and 4-year SBP.
    4. Utilizing inventory to help offset delivery or shipping issues.
    5. Budget management monthly/quarterly/yearly.
    6. Warehouse service agreements and warehouse strategy.
  • Customer Service Champion Lead for Region
    1. Collecting monthly forecasts from each of our partners.
    2. Assessing the customer priority; setting a once-a-month touch point with each customer to drive best-in-class customer service and fully portray the customer needs to the team and the factory.
    3. Act as FPT’s main customer advocate, owning customer relationships in coordination with the Sales team and enhancing partnerships internally and externally.
    4. Single point of contact within the sales admin team for all issues related to invoicing, damaged engines, missing parts, quality issues, or any other delivery concerns.
    5. KPIs related to delivery and customer satisfaction that can be used and shared with the global team and management to drive regional improvements.
    6. Prepare and analyze data for management presentations needed in sales budgets, reports, and customer concerns.
    7. Partner with the Credit and Network Development team on invoicing discrepancies and credit limits and complete credit/debit requests when required.
  • Other duties as assigned. FPT's entrepreneurial spirit may result in additional responsibilities as we continue to evolve and grow our business.

The qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration with 5-7 years in Sales Administration and Operations experience.
  • Strong communication, follow-up skills, and urgency to resolve customer issues.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge or proficiency in Business Intelligence apps.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker who can look at the big picture and compartmentalize topics.
  • Extremely organized and pays special attention to detail; works well across all levels of the organization.
  • Can multi-task and prioritize multiple projects/tasks at one time.
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Excellent customer focus, teamwork, and problem-solving-troubleshooting skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to analyze root cause (5-whys) on damaged, missing, or returned deliveries and present results/solutions to the team.
  • Strong ability to collaborate.

SAP and Sales Force experience and technical ability to read and review engineering print are a plus.
