The Training and Recruiting Specialist works closely with the Human Resources Department and is responsible for evaluating and assessing the Club's needs and implementing processes to develop the staff to ensure structure and consistency. One would be responsible for assisting with sourcing talent, recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, instructing new employees on job duties, sharing best practices, and providing continuing education and training to all staff while creating and maintaining a positive culture. The Recruiting and Training Specialist must be flexible to work when business demands, which includes daylight, evening and weekends.
The training manager would be responsible for putting together departmental training programs and guides including onboarding and new hire orientation. Manager would have a high concentration on the food & beverage team but would connect with all departments to be the “face” of the Club to ensure structure and a positive environment. Assist and hold departments accountable for pre-shift and monthly meetings. Review processes and procedures to improve efficiency and member satisfaction.
The Duquesne Club has several dining outlets, 3 bars, banquet rooms, private suites, hotel rooms and more. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor degree in training and development, education, human resources or hotel field. Candidate should also have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a club, restaurant or hotel environment. Candidate should have a proven track record of successfully recruiting, training, and developing employees. This is a union property, and the contract binding agreement must be understood and followed.
Position requires mobility and dexterity to bend, stoop, grasp, reach, twist, etc. One would be required to stand/walk during entire shift or incorporate all activities into their shift. One must have the ability to lift 30 pounds as well as the physical strength to pull equipment.
All staff members who work at the Club should be friendly and always greet members with a smile and address them by name. One should be accommodating and always go the extra mile to see that the needs of members are met and exceeded. This is a conservative environment. No visible tattoos or facial piercings.
