Customer Development Specialist

The B2B Customer Development Specialist is responsible for working directly with smaller retailers and distributors to drive their transition to our self service B2B portal, Petmatepartners.com. In this role, you will spend a majority of your time working with Independent Pet Specialty Stores, small specialty distributors and international customers.

This role is based in our Arlington, TX corporate office, and is part of the Petmate eCommerce team. This position requires initiative and the ability to work effectively and independently with a focus on task accomplishment, process flow and follow-up. Excellent customer relationship and communication skills are critical to success in this position.

Major Responsibilities:

· Increase adoption, usage frequency and volume of orders through our B2B customer portal.

· Leverage various contact methodologies to engage with targeted customers.

o Email Marketing

o Phone Calls

o Using leads from Customer Service team

· Establish a process for number of calls & emails with goals set against number of new account sign ups achieved daily.

· Conduct B2B portal training as needed with customers and sales team

· Provide help and assistance to customers using the B2B portal

· Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.

· Actively remarket accounts once set up to drive promotional selling and order building.

· Perform other projects as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

· A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Marketing or a related field.

· Reliable team player.

· Ability to work independently in varied settings.

· Excellent customer relationship-building skills.

· Effective communication skills

· Basic/Intermediate knowledge of MS Office tools (excel, PowerPoint, Word, outlook)

· A valid driver's license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation is required.
