Information Technology Support Technician

The Information Technology team is the driving force to ensure QPRC’s technology, infrastructure, applications, and services meet the current and future needs of the organization.

We currently have a Full-Time opening for a Technical Support Specialist to offer assistance to both team members and residents.  A successful candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills paired with proven experience dealing with hardware, software support and implementation, internet connectivity (LAN and Wi-Fi) as well as telephone systems.

Primary Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Prioritize and respond to staff and resident helpdesk tickets in a timely manner.
• Utilize advanced technical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
• Install new equipment including computers, printers, phones, security cameras, switches, access points audiovisual equipment, and related peripherals.
• Assist end users with implementation of new software.
• Assist in monitoring the daily performance of computer systems.
• Provide user training to team members and residents.
• Monitor stock levels of supplies and keep storage area orderly.
• Maintain accurate record of services performed and remedial action taken.
• Update technical documentation and procedures.
• Liaison with vendors relating equipment purchases and user issues.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and providing technical support in  Windows 10 and 11 and MS365 environment for computer hardware, applications, and related devices.
• Experience managing Active Directory users and groups.
• Experience troubleshooting iOS and Android devices.
• Knowledge of LAN, Wi-Fi, and Internet connectivity.
• Basic understanding of networking principals and structured cabling. 
• Ability to plan, organize, manage, and track projects effectively.
• Strong customer service skills.
