Logistics Traveling Driver

Kofile is seeking an experienced Traveling Delivery Driver/Warehouse Specialist. The role will include, but is not limited to, transporting books and boxes to and from Client locations, maximizing vehicle space and route management. You will be responsible for inventory confirmation at the time of pickup and delivery. While not traveling, you will be responsible for Shipping and Receiving, Inventory Control, and assisting with Logistics. You will be responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and well maintained as well as handling all shipping and receiving for the facility, vehicle maintenance, and assisting in various departments around the facility as needed. The chosen Driver will ensure vehicle safety, customer and sales satisfaction, 100% accurate pick up and deliveries, while following all DOT regulations. The role requires the ability to travel overnight multiple nights per week. Travel will mostly be throughout California with occasional out-of-state travel. May also include local and regional deliveries as needed.

• Inventory all items scheduled for delivery/pick up
• Coordinate with Supervisor on routes and delivery schedules
• Prepare shipments including palletizing of all items securely
• Load and unload vehicles
• Transport books/boxes to and from Client locations
• Communicate professionally and accurately with Customers
• Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies
• Perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, etc.
• Assist in various warehouse and production tasks as assigned
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness while doing inventories and prepping projects
• Observe all DOT regulations
• Inventory and shelve projects while picking up or delivering 
• Act as primary Shipping and Receiving clerk when not on the road
• Handle package delivery for entire facility
• Create and verify manifests and BOLs as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment

• CDL is not required
• Must have a clean DMV record and background check
• Capable of driving large vans and box trucks
• Ability to travel overnight 3-4 days per week
• Ability to consistantly lift 25-30 pound books and boxes
• Basic IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Must possess fine-tuned communication skills across varying levels within a company 
• Ablity to use basic hand tools safely
• Experience using forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus
• Over the road experience is a plus
• Shipping/Receiving experience is a plus, including familiarity with commercial shipping software (FedEx, UPS, etc)
• Experience using forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus
• Prefer Warehouse experience
