Job Title: Marketing Operations & Content Manager

Reports To: VP of Marketing

Rate of Pay: $DOE

Shift: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM

Evenings, weekends, holidays and special events are required based on business needs.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Salaried


SUMMARY

The Marketing Operations and Content Manager is responsible for leading and executing Marcomm initiatives using advanced technology tools. They will serve as a project manager and work closely with other resort departments to develop omnichannel marketing and social media campaigns. The ideal candidate possesses a lodging and hospitality background, a deep knowledge of CRM tools, such as Inntopia, as well as Google Analytics.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Marketing: 70%

Drive revenue through marketing CRM campaigns.

Direct advertising campaigns and manage scheduling.

Develop omnichannel campaigns for the resort as a whole and individual revenue streams.

Act as a marketing liaison with other directors and managers to prioritize and facilitate their needs.

Analyze Google and other analytics reports to recommend optimization strategies.

Lead content strategy across social, blog, and website.

Update websites with new information on a regular basis.

Direct social media efforts, including calendaring and posting. Respond multiple times daily to social media comments.

Craft daily snow report messaging for partner sites, resort website, and app. Check webcams daily to ensure they are online, and share content and statistics with various audiences.

Coordinate project management software across the marketing department. Assign and execute tasks and organize files.

Oversee Digital Asset Management tool.

Organize photo shoots on the mountain and around the resort. Basic photography, videography, and editing work.

Execute time-sensitive tasks.


Liason: 20%

Interface with external agencies and contractors.

Build and manage an ambassador/influencer/athlete program.

Execute and expand a program to build relationships with Utah Valley and Park City hotel concierges to generate more activity and restaurant business.

Act as the Sundance representative in key relationships with DMO's, third-party contractors and companies.


PR: 10%

Assist in the preparation of collateral items for PR outreach.

Process and filter inbound press, blogger, influencers, and FAM inquiries.

Identify press release opportunities.

Foster media exposure on a local level.

Host media tours on property, including skiing/snowboarding on mountain.

Prepare colleagues for media relations appearances, articles and activities.

Document local media coverage.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in managing relationships with the following (not limited to): SkiUtah, Explore Utah Valley, Utah Office of Tourism, and contract workers specific to the marketing and creative process.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in marketing, public relations, communications, or business preferred; or at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a self-starter that enjoys working in a team environment.

At least two years work experience in hospitality and/or ski resort marketing preferred.


TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS

Must possess proficiency of Power point, word processing, spreadsheets, internet navigation and electronic mail, database management, and page layout.

Must be able to upload content to all social media channels through PC and portable devices.

Ability to create, edit, and/or manage the creation of all aspects of short video content for promotion through social media channels.

Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
