About the role:

The North AmericaAccount Manager develops and builds strong relationships with the local clients, becoming a trusted and valued advisor and delivery specialist. Reporting to the Account Director, you will oversee the portfolios of in-market campaigns and its cultural nuances. The role delivers an exceptional level of client service and creative thinking, as well as having an active role in driving efficiencies and lead growth across all categories including Originals, Football, and Running, to name a few.
What you will be doing:
  • An understanding of the importance of working within brand guidelines, the business/their needs, expectations, and requirements in order to provide the best service and solution through close partnership in the key market.
  • Experience with global creative toolkits, market adaptations, and localisations.
  • Ownership and management of local client engagement.
  • Experience driving regular client and internal status meetings, escalating issues and proactively resolving problems, managing project resources and spend, and making critical decisions.
  • The ability to drive and motivate a team and project through to successful completion.
  • A background in production with a strong delivery background, an understanding of the process and nuances for delivery of high volumes of adaptation work.
  • Growing strong relationships with the different agencies - creative origination agencies, printers etc.
  • A strong passion for sport and particularly for the adidas brand.
  • Ideally a strong background in a retail environment, both online and offline.
What you will be doing:
  • Working with globally supplied creative, delivering end to end management of large-scale projects for adidas owned retail stores, wholesale partners, eCom and CRM.
  • Oversight of creative development for 2D and 3D formats - in-store graphics, launch zones, digital content & more.
  • Working closely with clients to create strong concepts from initial briefing. Understanding the local nuances to your market.
  • Working with our global stakeholders and providing insightful feedback. This role is key for connecting global and local teams.
  • Working with offsite / international hubs and local teams and clients to deliver work.
Delivering projects, with support from the Project Management, including:
  • Interrogating job requests and creating production ready briefs for design.
  • Providing clear, on-brief direction to creative and working with team through every step of a project to ensure client asks are met/covered.
  • Collaborating, motivating, and encouraging the team to ensure all team members remain focused on delivering the best work possible and feel supported in doing so.
  • Taking responsibility for service levels and KPIs.
  • Oversight of creative output; acting as guardian to ensure quality is kept high across all projects.
  • Implementing the best practice production process within OLIVER and with clients.
What you need to be great in this role:
  • Experience working in an advertising agency; sports and lifestyle category is a plus.
  • Cross channel experience; Print, Digital Display, Email.
  • Experience working on multiple projects at once from brief to delivery.
  • Ideally a solid understanding of Retail best practices.
  • The ability to manage both individual and project workloads and identifying challenges and risks within them.
  • Executional rigour, competent in multitasking and great organisational skills.
  • The ability to combine and translate complex material from different sources and contexts into stories and content that engage and resonate with in-market target audience.
  • Competent in presenting and communicating ideas to clients.
  • Experience working with retail and with sports products.
  • Good understanding of project finances - estimating, timings, and invoicing.
  • Comfortable with working with remote clients and functional team in different time zones and cultures.
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $60,000 to $70,000. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package.
