Monroe Tractor is a well-known and respected construction equipment and agricultural equipment dealer with over 70 years of experience servicing the northeastern US. The Parts Manager will oversee all phases of the parts department such as inventory control (shipping/receiving, obsolescence control, parts turnover, stock order efficiencies, etc.), hiring and training, managing depart budgets, key performance indicators, marketing and sales to successfully achieve financial targets. This position requires a friendly disposition with the ability to lead others and interact with a broad base of customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages parts operations within the dealership to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control.
  • Complete a formal employee evaluation for each direct report annually
  • Mentor, coach and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
  • Set challenging goals and objectives to achieve department budget expectations.
  • Foster an environment of teamwork, high productivity, and high morale through successful employee coaching and development.
  • Develops Parts Department processes and monitor efficiency to identify opportunities for improvement and implement adjustments effectively.
  • Creates annual Parts Department goals and budget, in alignment with the Monroe tractors financial and operational goals.
  • Maintains effective inventory control procedures that includes cycle counts and/or annual physical inventory.
  • Submits all parts warranty and return claims within the required time frame.
  • Maximizes vendor stock returns to enhance parts turns and cash flows.
  • Visits customers and prospect customers during the off months (Dec., Jan, Feb., July, and Aug.) to increase business and build customer relationships.
  • Maintains and promotes a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with branch management to review reports such as back orders and open orders to ensure efficient branch operations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year experience working in either Auto or Equipment Parts Department.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience. Leadership within auto or equipment industry preferred.
  • Experience in agriculture equipment, construction or automotive parts is a plus.
  • Confidently operate computers including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 plus the opportunity to earn an annual incentive bonus.
