Marketing & Events Manager (B2B Distribution)

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing & Events Manager to join our team. The Marketing Manager will be primarily responsible for developing, leading, and executing the company’s overarching marketing strategy, communication efforts, content, advertising plan, as well as creative materials in an effort to build brand awareness.

Additionally, this role will involve managing an Events Coordinator (to be hired), as well as overseeing and planning various event-based activities, such as major trade shows, online training classes, and other smaller regional trade shows as needed .

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and implement overarching marketing campaigns to build brand awareness and loyalty, while identifying opportunities for sponsorship and partnership to enhance brand visibility and market reach
• Develop and execute monthly communications calendar while ensuring consistent messaging
• Develop strategy, plan, and buy media to support advertising campaigns, both digital and print
• Manage and update the company’s online presence, including website content, social media channels, and email marketing campaigns
• Create and write content for all channels including company website, blog, newsletter, social media, and presentations
• Manage external PR agency to oversee press releases, industry articles and case studies, and trade show PR support
• Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling marketing collateral while ensuring brand consistency, including product catalogs, brochures, digital assets, and more
• Organize and plan conference attendance and events, develop all supporting materials including signage, event details, sponsorship deals and advertising, and ensure all plans are executed on strategy and on budget within stated timeline
• Schedule and promote online training classes and webinars to educate customers and partners on new products and industry trends
• Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, newsletter and web traffic results, making data-driven recommendations for optimization and improvement
• Provide leadership and coaching to further development of Events Coordinator (to be hired)
• Stay current on industry trends and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies and initiatives
• Continuously improve through feedback

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related field from an accredited college or university
• Five or more years of experience in the Marketing field; experience within the consumer electronics or technology industry a plus
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including CRM systems (NetSuite a plus), email marketing software, social media management tools, and Google Analytics
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns and initiatives
• Knowledge of web-based and social media advertising
• Experience in brand marketing
• Experience in event planning and coordination
• B2B marketing experience is a plus
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong team player
