Fund Accountant

Public Trust Advisors is a growing investment advisory firm seeking to add a Fund Accountant to our team. Established in 2011 and headquartered in Denver CO, Public Trust Advisors is a SEC registered firm that manages over $100 billion in public sector assets around the nation. With 85 employees and growing, Public Trust Advisors is large enough to allow our employees to chart their professional path and still small enough to connect with all levels of the organization along their journey. This position is a hybrid position based out of Denver, Colorado. Relocation is not provided for this position. 

Being a Fund Accountant at Public Trust Advisors requires supreme attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines. Strong communication skills, initiative and decision making skills are needed to be successful in this role. This role requires a 4-year bachelor’s degree; preferably in accounting or similar major as well as 2+  years of work experience in the financial industry.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Resolve complex problems and train other team members on researching and resolving complex problems.

• Daily and monthly oversight of Managed Service provider for completion, accuracy, and timeliness of their performance, including final approval of daily NAV.

• Reviews and confirms trading activity for LGIP and various SMA clients on daily trade activity, including affirming trades, verifying rate resets and validation of activity.
• Reconcile and communicate cash available for investment to Portfolio Management and specific pool clients on a daily basis.
• Adherence to internal compliance controls regarding daily pricing and reporting.
• Review weekly S&P filings for accuracy prior to submission.
• Performs monthly asset reconciliations for SMA clients and resolve outstanding reconciling items.
• Review and approve SMA statements prior to distribution to clients.
• Prepare, review and approve monthly client invoicing.
• Preparation and review of quarterly and annual reports for LGIP boards.
• Prepare and submit data for annual company SOC audit as needed.
• Coordinate and assist with external firms for annual audits of LGIPs.
• Supports Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, Compliance, and VP of Client Relations to onboard new clients, including establishment of client profile, and custom reporting.
• Assist in documenting process and procedures and reviewing of policies and procedures for the department.
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar major required

2+ years of relevant work experience in financial services; with advancement towards leadership role

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $68,000 / yr. (DOE).  This position is eligible to participate in our company discretionary bonus plan.
