Job Description

Association Management Center seeks a Marketing and Membership Coordinator to add to our team. This role supports AMC's client, American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (ASPHO) - a 501(c)6 national medical specialty society - to provide support for all marketing, communications, and membership efforts. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to expand their content development skills and multi-channel marketing experience, and to learn, contribute to, and implement general marketing and membership acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies.

ASPHO is the professional organization for physicians and other healthcare providers dedicated to improved health and a better future for children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer and blood disorders. Membership includes over 2,000 physicians and other medical professionals.

This role is hybrid up to 1 day per week onsite in Chicago, IL.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute approved, deadline-driven marketing communications tactics promoting membership recruitment, engagement, and retention, and events, programs and products in alignment with strategic plan.
  • Maintain regular Society messaging by creating time-sensitive marketing copy and coordinate implementation on multiple channels including social media, web, newsletters, video, and other digital and print communications.
  • Coordinate email marketing platform, facilitate review process, organize digital and print list segmentation.
  • Provide metrics and reporting for membership, conference, marketing, and other communications and engagement efforts.
  • Facilitate platform updates and administration as needed for website, member communities, database, social media, event mobile apps and other platforms.
  • Coordinate administration and ongoing communication to support committees and volunteer engagement.
  • Other projects and administrative duties supporting membership/marketing and client team as needed.


  • Bachelor's degree required (marketing, journalism, communications, or a related area a plus)
  • Minimum 18 months related marketing communication experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects/priorities; consistent attention to detail and maintaining a standard of high-quality work
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and provide strong customer service to members; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate skills in email marketing platforms (Informz)
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Teams); and manipulating data in Excel.
  • Intermediate skills with web content management system
  • Experience coordinating company/organization social media profiles and scheduling platform (Hootsuite)
  • Proficient in CRM or database management and member communities platform (Higher Logic)
  • Ability to travel out of state and overnight 1-2 times per year
  • Physical: Sitting, Walking, Standing, Manual Dexterity, Hearing and Seeing
