SPECIAL PROJECTS EDITOR

WINK News is seeking a Special Projects Editor to spearhead the development and production of long-form stories or single-topic news specials, and investigative journalism pieces. This role involves collaborating with the Special Projects and investigative teams.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and production of long-form stories, single-topic news specials, and investigative journalism pieces.
- Collaborate closely with the Special Projects and the investigative team to generate story ideas, conduct research, and ensure editorial integrity.
- Coordinate production efforts, including working with reporters, producers, and photographers.
- Edit and review scripts, video content, and other materials to uphold journalistic standards and maximize impact.
- Optimize content for digital platforms, working closely with digital teams.
- Uphold the highest standards of journalistic integrity and professionalism.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of journalism experience is a plus, with a focus on special projects, investigative reporting, or long-form storytelling.
- Strong storytelling, research, and editing skills.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in digital media tools and platforms.
- Passion for journalism and a commitment to excellence.
