OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Freelance Copy Editor / Proofreader for ongoing freelance projects. This role involves editing and proofreading a variety of content, primarily focused on B2B marketing writing. The ideal candidate will have experience with AWS or Microsoft platforms, as well as marketing / agency experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Review and edit technical and marketing content for clarity, grammar, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Ensure all content is factually accurate and compliant with industry standards.
Collaborate with writers and content creators to refine and improve messaging.
Proofread documents for errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
Provide constructive feedback to content creators, maintaining a consistent voice and style.
Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience as a copy editor or proofreader, particularly in a B2B environment.
Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft, or their partner ecosystems is highly preferred.
Experience in partner marketing or writing related to cloud computing, IT services, or similar fields.
Strong understanding of B2B marketing strategies and terminologies.
Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, style, and spelling.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting.
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.

CONTRACT DETAILS:

Hourly Rate: $40-45/hr, based on experience.
Duration: Freelance position; the role is anticipated to be ongoing and hours could vary per week
Hours: Looking for someone in CST or who can work CST hours
Start Date: To be determined, but aiming to start within the next few weeks.
