The Delta Hotels Minneapolis Northeast/Twin Cities 400 Tavern is seeking a full time, salaried Event Sales and Marketing Coordinator.

With a private dining room accommodating up to 40 guests, we pride ourselves on hosting unforgettable events that leave a lasting impression.

Position Overview:

Are you a social butterfly with a knack for planning unforgettable events? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where creativity and collaboration are celebrated? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We're seeking an energetic and driven Event Sales and Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This multifaceted role is ideal for someone who loves connecting with people, dreaming up exciting marketing campaigns, and making a real impact in the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Event Sales: Drive revenue by selling private events in our charming private dining room. Cultivate relationships with external clients to ensure seamless event planning and execution.
  • Marketing Events: Plan and coordinate external marketing events, showcasing our mouthwatering offerings at conventions and industry events. Organize internal marketing events like bingo nights, trivia competitions, and holiday celebrations to engage our loyal customers and attract new ones.
  • Social Media Management: Develop captivating content for our social media platforms, ensuring a consistent brand voice and aesthetic. Interact with followers, spark conversations, and recruit influencers to share their Twin Cities 400 Tavern experience online.
  • Content Creation: Design and print menus and promotional materials that reflect our restaurant's vibrant personality and enticing offerings. Keep our website fresh and engaging with regular content updates to boost SEO and drive traffic.

Qualifications:

  • Sociable and outgoing personality with a passion for building relationships
  • Creative thinker with a flair for event planning and marketing strategy
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Canva experience, or ability to learn
  • Experience with content creation for social media, including basic photo and video editing
  • Knowledge of social media trends and best practices
  • Understanding of social media scheduling tools such as Sprout Social or HootSuite, or ability to learn
  • Bonus: experience with Adobe InDesign & influencer marketing (preferred but not required)
  • Previous experience in event sales, marketing, or hospitality is preferred but not required
  • Valid driver's license
