About the Role

Doyen Search Group has just launched a search for an experienced Hotel Assistant Director of Finance to join the team of an award winning boutique hotel in San Diego. In this leadership role, you will play a key part in overseeing the financial activities of the property and ensuring smooth, efficient operations. To be successful, you must have recent experience in hotel finance or accounting, and the ability to coach and correct hotel department managers professionally. We are willing to relocate the right candidate to San Diego.

What You'll Do

• Prepare Daily Flash Report and distribute to Property Management.
• Ensure daily deposit of cash receipts and credit card receipts, along with issuing deposit slips for pick-up, prepare Change Fund for Front Desk and cashier banks.
• Manage a team of accounting staff.
• Prepare financial reports and analyze financial data.
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping and internal controls.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business studies - Master's degree a plus!
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with accounting software (PeopleSoft or similar preferred).
