Location: This position is based at our Hanover, MD headquarters. Hybrid work arrangements are acceptable, with telework opportunities per Next Level Sports & Entertainment's corporate policies, and the ability to commute to the office as needed.

Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Programming Manager to support our content programming team. NLSE is an emerging network offering engaging video content, established to serve the passionate fan's appreciation for competition, sportsmanship, and performance. The Programming Coordinator will play a key role in providing creative support for all media endeavors related to broadcast programming. Qualified candidates must possess strong understanding of viewers interest and habits, and a passion for sports. As NLSE grows, there will be opportunities to get involved with more diverse original programming efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Work with creative executives to develop acquisition strategies as it pertains to our programs.
  • Screen and evaluate programs prior to their airing to maximize audience.
  • Assist in acquiring new content.
  • Create, manage, and distribute reports that include program timings and content information.
  • Leverage ratings, analytics, research, and viewership data to create impactful analyses.
  • Collaborate and negotiate with external and internal partners on program placements.
  • Liaison with Ad Sales and Marketing teams on the creation of 1 sheets and media kits.
  • Manage promotional content schedule.
  • Create new material entries and maintain digital archives.
  • Assess, note sensitive content, and recommend revisions to the program rating when necessary.
  • Supports other projects as needed.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Television Broadcasting, Film, Media, Journalism, Communications, or any related field.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience with a 24/7 programming network (linear or digital experience).
  • Excellent programming judgment and deep understanding of established and emerging trends in content consumption and audience habits.
  • Exemplary organizational skills and the ability to support multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Programming sales and marketing experience.
  • Analytics experience.
  • Training in sports television production and post-production operations.
  • A passion for and knowledge of sports.
  • Proven ability to build communication campaigns that align with business objectives.
  • Self-starter and the ability to act quickly and effectively as well as work independently with little direction
  • Possess the leadership skills to seek information from colleagues needed to further publicity and social strategies and implementation
