Contract Web Designer (WordPress) - Project-Based, Remote

Marketing Direction is a fast-growing, fully remote marketing agency that delivers high-quality marketing programs to a mix of B2B and B2C private companies. We are looking for a talented Contract Web Designer to join our team. In this project-based role, you'll leverage your expertise in WordPress graphic design and a working knowledge of SEO best practices to create high-converting websites that meet our clients' specific needs and marketing goals.

About the Role:

• Independent Contractor: This is a contract position, not full-time or part-time employment. We offer project work on an as-needed basis for clients in a variety of industries.
• WordPress & Page Builders: You'll design and develop websites using WordPress and a variety of page builders (e.g., Elementor, Avada, Divi, Beaver Builder, WPBakery).
• Working Knowledge of SEO: You'll have a familiarity with and be able to implement basic SEO best practices for on-page optimization.
• Google Properties: You'll have a working knowledge of Google properties including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, and Google Marketing Platform.
• Client Collaboration: You'll collaborate with marketing specialists and project managers to ensure websites are aligned with client branding and marketing objectives.
• Graphic Design Integration: You'll possess strong graphic design skills using tools like Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) to create graphics and design elements for websites.
• Website Updates: You'll be comfortable making updates to existing websites, whether you created them originally or not.
• Independent & Communicative: You'll work independently with clear deadlines and effectively communicate project progress and updates.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a strong portfolio showcasing experience in WordPress website design and development.
• Possesses a working knowledge of SEO best practices and can implement them effectively (basic on-page optimization).
• Has a working knowledge of Google properties including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, and Google Marketing Platform.
• Is proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud for graphic design tasks.
• Is a self-motivated, results-oriented individual with excellent communication and time management skills.
• Thrives in a remote work environment and enjoys collaborating virtually.
