Position Overview

Our vision at LG Energy Solution Vertech is one of exceptional customer experience at every phase of the project lifecycle. This starts with the very first interaction with the sales team, continues through proposal, contracting, construction and commissioning, operations and ends with decommissioning and recycling. In an industry facing the immense challenges of deploying projects with unprecedented speed and scale, streamlining and optimizing every aspect of the full customer lifecycle is critical.

The mission of the Product Marketing Manager is to work closely with the product, sales, and marketing teams (located globally in the US and Korea) to research and analyze the CCI segment and to create and help execute a successful go to market product strategy to bring value to our customers in this segment. The PMM must be analytical and data-driven, but also adept at building relationships with key customers to deeply understand their needs and pain points. Supporting the sales team with critical product and value discussions, creating key value messaging for the marketing team, and bringing deep customer and market insights to the product teams and market intelligence team is all part of this multi-faceted and highly collaborative role.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Product Marketing Manager, the near-term outcomes of your role will include:

  • Market Analysis and Strategy - Conduct in-depth market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the community, commercial, and industrial energy storage sectors. This includes an in-depth benchmarking of competitors and key customer value drivers as well as a detailed understanding of policies, incentive and regulations at both the local and national levels.
  • Product Messaging and Positioning - Develop clear and compelling product messaging and positioning statements tailored to the unique needs of community, commercial, and industrial customers. Create and maintain marketing collateral, including sales materials, case studies, and product documentation.
  • Sales Enablement - Collaborate with the sales team to provide them with the necessary tools, training, and resources to effectively sell energy storage products. Develop sales presentations, FAQs, and other materials to support the sales process.
  • Customer Insight - Collect and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve product offerings and address customer pain points. Establish and maintain relationships with key customers to gain insights into their evolving needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn multiple functional areas of business – engineering, design, finance, sales, or marketing.
  • Proven ability to engage with sales managers, product managers, engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship.

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Background in the renewable energy, critical infrastructure, or other long sales-cycle, highly capital intensive and highly complex industries is a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product marketing and product strategy.
  • 5 years working in a product marketing or highly comparable role.


Travel

  • Up to 20% domestic and international travel will be required for customer and supplier visits, collaboration with colleagues and industry trade shows and conferences.
