How you’ll create an impact:
- Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion.
- Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs.
- Emphasize the features of products to highlight how they solve customer problems.
- Negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreements.
- Collaborate with colleagues in many different sectors.
- Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationships.
- Follow up on generated leads, along with cultivating your own.
- Drive to potential customers’ home and conduct sales appointments.
- Write proposals for each customer account which include photographs, instructions, diagrams, pricing lists and job worksheets.
- Provide follow-up to customers by phone and re-visit customers as necessary.
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
What makes you stand out:
- 3 to 5 years in the electrical field. A valid State of Michigan Journeyman or Master electrical license (preferred but not required).
- Contractor’s license preferred (will be compensated for possessing it.)
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Have a valid driver’s license with insurability.
- Have regular and punctual attendance.
- Be proficient working with computer software.
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
- Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience’s needs.
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
