Responsibilities of the Safety & Compliance Specialist:
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and safety training sessions.
- Prepare and circulate reports, presentations, and correspondence under the guidance of the Safety Director.
- Manage incoming communications regarding safety matters.
- Stay up-to-date on safety regulations and best practices.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local safety standards.
- Collaborate with various departments to address safety compliance issues.
- Aid in the development and execution of emergency response plans.
- Participate in drills to test emergency preparedness.
- Act as a point of contact for employees during emergencies.
Qualifications of the Safety & Compliance Specialist:
- Preferably hold a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA regulations is a plus.
- Previous experience in administrative or support roles, preferably in safety.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.
- Keen attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Salary:
$65,000-$70,000 per year
