As we navigate through a period of rapid expansion, Elite Building Services is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who is ready to take on the challenge of driving financial and operational excellence across our organization. This pivotal role offers the unique opportunity to work closely with department leaders and the executive team, including direct reporting to the CEO, to enhance operational efficiencies and contribute to strategic planning and execution.

The ideal candidate will lead our finance team playing a critical role in overseeing all financial functions, including general accounting, tax strategy, cash flow management, and strategic financial planning. Location: In office position in executive suite at Elite’s HQ in Wilmington, Delaware (some hybrid schedule may be discussed for future)

Requirements/Job Description:

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Oversees Accounting department, budget preparation and audit functions.
• Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns and governmental agency reports.
• Will handle everything relating to cash flow, forecasting, financial planning, and taxation issues.
• Monthly P&L responsibilities. Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
• Reviews planning process and suggest improvements to current methods.
• Analyzes operations of each department to identify areas in need or reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
• Works with the CEO, Executive Advisory Team and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
• Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
• Identifies opportunities for expansion into new service areas and verticals.
• Oversees investment of funds and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion.
• Performing risk management by analyzing the company’s liabilities and investments.
• Oversee the management of vendor relationships.
• Set up and oversee the company’s IT system (future accounting software).

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred.
• Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required.
