Position Summary:
CEO reports to the Officers and Board of Directors for performance and direction of the Association and its subsidiary corporations and organizations.

Responsibility Details:
Member Relations:
Promote membership
Field member requests for information, advice or other services
Attend special events
Coordinate activities and relationships with national associations and other industry organizations
Managing/Operations:
Recruit, train, manage and determine compensation for all employees of the Association and its subsidiaries
Supervision of staff, products offered, and relationships with contracted vendors
Oversee all boards, committees, councils, task forces, conferences, and programs
Create and implement goals/objectives and budget as approved
Responsible for the maintenance of all records and legal documents
Develop proposed agendas for all Board and Officer meetings, prepare background materials and provide recommendations as requested
Develop, implement and manage membership retention and renewal efforts
Serve as interim President/Secretary of Agents Assistance Corporation and staff liaison for Company/Agency Relations Committee
Organize and coordinate strategic planning for the Association
Provide Sound Financial Management to achieve a Balanced Budget yearly
Industry Relations:
Serve as liaison to insurance carriers and annually meet with key company partners
Act as chief spokesperson for the Association
Serve as a resource to all associate members, legislators, regulators and other interested parties
Work directly with the Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) on agent and industry issues
Oversee all Association advocacy initiatives
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant experience in association management and governance
Familiarity with property and casualty insurance
Understanding of independent agents, agencies, insurance carriers and their needs
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong skillset to work with people staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers
Ability to travel for events and in person meetings, some overnight
