Position Overview:

Intuitive Machines is seeking a talented and experienced Proposal Specialist to join our team and support our growing business development efforts. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, the Proposal Specialist will play a crucial role in the development and preparation of high-quality proposals for both government and commercial clients. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of proposal activities and the achievement of business objectives, including tracking the overall bid & proposal portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with the Chief Growth Officer (CGO), Director of Business Development, and business development team to understand proposal requirements, objectives, and deadlines and manage the team’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.

  2. Lead the development and writing of comprehensive proposals, including technical, management, and cost sections, in response to government solicitations (e.g., RFPs, RFIs, RFQs) and commercial requests for proposals.

  3. Conduct thorough research and analysis to gather relevant information, data, and content for proposal development, ensuring compliance with client requirements and specifications.

  4. Write clear, concise, and compelling proposal content that effectively communicates the company's technical capabilities, solutions, and value proposition to potential clients.

  5. Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, scientists, and other stakeholders to gather technical inputs, validate proposal content, and ensure accuracy and completeness.

  6. Develop and maintain proposal templates, boilerplate text, graphics, and other reusable content to streamline the proposal writing process and improve efficiency.

  7. Review and edit proposal drafts for clarity, coherence, consistency, and compliance with company standards, client guidelines, and industry best practices.

  8. Coordinate proposal reviews, revisions, and approvals with internal stakeholders, including senior management, legal, finance, and operations teams.

  9. Manage proposal schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely submission of high-quality proposals that meet client expectations and requirements.

  10. Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to proposal development and management, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement and optimization.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5-10+ years of experience in proposal writing, preferably in the aerospace, defense, or technology industry.

  • Proven track record of success in writing and managing government and commercial proposals, including experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).

  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts and requirements into clear, concise, and persuasive proposal content.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign, SharePoint, GovWin).

  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot) and report generation.

  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy, with a commitment to producing error-free and compliant proposal deliverables.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
