General Description:
The Digital Outlets Manager will provide day-to-day management and optimization of Mount Zion digital platforms and engagement tools including website, mobile app, text messaging, ministry platform, and email marketing. The ideal candidate will be a servant leader with excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
The Digital Outlets Manager will be an avid project manager and digital marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, fosters clear and effective communication, and can manage multiple projects without compromising the integrity of work. Key responsibilities include:
Responsibilities:
- Manage and implement updates, initiatives, messaging, and campaigns across digital platforms including website, mobile app, and text messaging, (ministry platform direct updates are done through membership services which are connected to our main website)
- Develop and enhance implement content strategy for mobile apps including sermon notes, notifications, content updates, and technology integration (i.e. Apple TV, Roku TV)
- Support brand strategies and objectives and ensure continuity across digital assets.
- Serve as a proactive and creative problem-solver who brings passion, enthusiasm, and innovation to the team and overall organization.
- Collaborate with creative, social media, IT, technical arts, and ministry teams to meet department deliverables.
- Manage our text messaging Clear Stream account
- Manage our relationship with One Eleven Website Developer
- Other duties as assigned
Primary Goals:
Developing text alert groups for different ministries to implement sending specialized texts to specialized interest groups.
Begin using the Mt. Zion app for notifications.
Specialized messaging. Do a survey to gauge who is receiving texts, app notifications, etc. to better reach our intended audience and streamline budgetary costs.
Continue to build out the resources within our clear stream text-alert account.
Key Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of account management and/or digital marketing experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.
- Experience working across a wide range of digital media platforms.
- Working knowledge of Wix, WordPress, SEO, HTML and basic CSS principles preferred
- Strong proofreading skills with keen eye for details
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Team player with desire to innovate and collaborate.
- Availability to work weekends and non-traditional hours as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred.
- Being organized (staying on Scheule and keeping everyone else on schedule)
- Customer service and people skills. Meeting people where they are and connecting with them to make the process easy and palatable for them through explaining technical and creative terminology to persons seeking marketing assistance.
- Creativity: Producing creative ways to send messages to congregation. Making it easy for people to access what is happening at Mt. Zion.
