We are assisting our client, a printing and digital media organization, in their search for a Tier 1 Technology Support Specialist.  This is a direct hire, full-time, hybrid position located in Pompano Beach, FL. 

 

JOB TITLE: Technology Support Specialist – Tier 1


WORK LOCATION: Onsite 3 days per week, remote 2 days per week.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Technology Support Specialist maintains computer equipment and services utilized by all employees and operations of the organization, providing technical support and ensuring the whole company runs smoothly.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide first-level support to support desk issues and service requests.
  • Utilize remote tools or face-to-face presence to respond to user requests for assistance with software, hardware, or networking issues.
  • Configure and deploy computers and other hardware for new employees or replace outdated equipment by installing and configuring appropriate software and network access.
  • Maintain up-to-date user directories for users of various network applications.
  • Work with vendors to identify and address software/hardware/network issues reported by end users.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Associates Degree in Information Technology, specialized training or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience providing technical support on Microsoft Windows and M365 is preferred.
  • Experience with Apple Macintosh Computers and Mac OS preferred.
  • Good communication skills along with the ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Good time management skills
  • Good Problem-solving skills,


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
  • Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department in the facility.
