Job Summary

We are seeking a Clinical Manager for El Dorado, a Mental Health Residential Treatment Program in Santa Cruz. Our team of skilled clinicians and counselors work together to provide client centered care with the ultimate goal of building resiliency and reducing harm. We partner with residents to identify and address internal and external stressors, establish healthy and supportive relationships, and develop more effective coping strategies to support their journey of mental health recovery. Our Counselors work closely together using evidence-based treatment approaches including, Mindfulness-based practices, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Informed Care to provide the most effective treatment possible for the clients we serve. We partner with outside agencies to assure our residents are supported with a successful transition back into the community upon completion of treatment.

Responsibilities:

Leadership

In concert with the Manager II, provides leadership, direction and support in the implementation of best practices in delivering residential mental health disorder treatment services. Uses a strengths-based approach and a leadership style which is mission-driven, focused on client services, outcomes, and models accessibility and integrity for staff and the community we serve. Supports a trauma-informed working environment for staff members.

Community Relationships

Builds and maintains positive relationships with community partners, and ensures effective interactions/ communications with collaborators and other interfacing agencies. Participates in implementing treatment plans, working with clients as well as coordinating with physicians; case managers; families; and other providers.

Clinical services

  • Provides oversight of crisis interventions, individual counseling, treatment plan development, case management and discharge planning services.
  • Supports Medication procedures as needed in coordination with Nursing Staff and the medication Specialist.
  • Provides clinical support for the program, including: Clinical meetings, bed movement meetings, supervision of counselors, group curriculum and facilitation.
  • Approves and reviews clinical documentation including, Service plans, Assessments, Avatar requirements, and QI requirements. Input diagnoses for all clients, tracks and submits required reports.
  • Participates in on-call/afterhours rotation with other Managers for three mental health programs (EDC, Casa Pacific, Telos).

Qualifications:

  • LMFT/ MFT/ LCSW/ ASW/LPCC or other qualifying Master's related mental health degree leading to licensure.  
  • Two years supervised work experience in related programs with mental health experience, counseling, and group facilitation experience is highly preferred.  
  • Experience in Electronic Health Record documentation preferred.  
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals struggling with mental illness, varied personalities, and cultures.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Valid California driver's license and clearance for agency vehicle insurance coverage.   
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English highly desirable.  

Wages & Benefits:
The Clinical Manager Position is $80-85K for licensed Clinicians/$74-75K for pre-licensed Clinicians

Our total compensation package includes a comprehensive medical and dental insurance plan for full time employees, 403(b) retirement plan, paid holiday, sick time, and 17 days of paid vacation, pro-rated for positions less than 40 hours a week.
