GenCare Lifestyle @ The Ballard Landmark in Seattle is a Premier Senior Independent/Assisted Living community and a recent US News & World Report Community Award Winner for Best Assisted Living. We are currently hiring for a FULL TIME Community Sales & Marketing Manager.

FT Benefits: Base Medical plan is 99% employer paid, Dental, Vision and Life at the employees expense, Paid sick (1 hour for every 40 worked, able to roll over max of 56 hours) and 6 paid holidays per year plus a paid day off for your birthday, one week vacation after one year employment, with an additional week beginning in year 2 finally with an additional week starting in the 47th month for a total of 3 weeks, 401K eligible after 6 months with up to a 4% employer match after one year of employment, up to 3 days of bereavement and up to 5 days jury leave, First Choice Health Employee Assistance Program, Free meal at work.

The Community Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for coordinating all on-site sales and move-in efforts in collaboration with the Community Sales & Marketing Director. The position will be a crucial resource for successfully supporting seniors and families who are seeking the GenCare Lifestyle as well as ensuring a smooth move-in process. The Community Sales & Marketing Manager must possess a high level of customer service, self-motivation, and a compassion for Seniors.

Provide sales activities and results necessary to achieve and exceed the community’s sales and move-in goals focusing on Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care, continuously maximizing occupancy, and achieving budgeted census. This role is also responsible for performing comprehensive support services to support the tactical marketing action plan effort as well as facilitating the daily operations of the sales and marketing office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Respond and follow-up with to all walk-ins, phone ins, mail-ins timely and appropriately.

• Schedule, organize, and conduct tours with prospective resident

• Assists Community Sales & Marketing Director in conducting initial and/or follow up contact with prospective residents and family members, to include phone calls, walk-ins, and requests for information received through the mail, email or web based. Responds to leads, prospects, and referral sources in a timely manner. Generates correspondence as necessary with prospects, and their families, as required to maintain and nurture relationships.

• Work closely with the Executive Director, Community Sales & Marketing Director, Corporate Director of Sales, and Corporate Director of Marketing in development and implementation of the quarterly marketing action plan.

• Accomplishes marketing and sales objective by brand awareness within the local neighborhoods

• Nurture and maintain lead tracking system/CRM and keep accurate tracking records on all leads and prospects to be used in weekly sales and marketing reports. Maintains database in Lead Tracking (Sherpa or Yardi), Nurtures relationships with new and existing prospects to provide a continuation of referrals and to sell the services provided by, including but not limited to Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care senior living. Treat each inquiry with value.

• Ensure that public marketing collateral and media (website, social media, email marketing, brochures, information packets, etc.) describing the services provided in the community are accurate, up to date, and meets branding guidelines.

• Spearhead social media posts on Facebook, Instagram and post approved photos of events and other marketing messaging at twice weekly on each channel. Track record of building, managing, and executing social media campaigns that grow followers and engagement, drive conversion and improve website traffic.

• When appropriate, help create press releases seeking coverage of special events and human-interest stories for the community.

• Participates in weekly sales and marketing meetings.

• Identifies marketing opportunities by understanding consumer requirements and evaluating advertisements and marketing channels.

• Create, plan, and implement with Sales and Marketing Director, Vitality and Fitness Directors events to bring in prospective residents, current leads, and professionals such as, but not limited to seminars, speakers, themed events, and family nights.

• Maintains database of contacts and referral sources in sales software. Completes required forms and follows all procedures deemed necessary to keep database current.

• Performs sales activities in support as needed during the absence of the Community Sales & Marketing Director.

• Conducts presentations to prospective residents and/or others involved in the decision-making process.

• Pre-qualifies potential customers so that sales efforts expended are in proportion to their urgency and appropriateness for the community.

• Interacts with others by developing and maintaining rapport, demonstrating interpersonal sensitivity toward others to establish a relationship and continue the sales process.

• Identifies/anticipates customer’s needs, eliciting ideas, feelings, and perceptions from others. Probes to identify the needs and goals of potential customers. Recommends solutions that match customer needs; overcomes objections by demonstrating benefits to customers and negotiating a mutually beneficial outcome.

• Coordinates health care assessments of potential residents to determine appropriateness for admission. Communicates with other department directors and managers as necessary in relation to the assessment and qualification process.

• Coordinates the collection of all necessary forms, deposits, and signing of agreements required for residency.

• Assist in coordinating all aspects of the move-in process; participate in various community activities, organizations, and professional groups to make our community the residence of choice in the area.

• Miscellaneous administrative duties to include the following: prepare and distribute reports and mailings; maintain files, organize, coordinate, and assist in planning of special events, including weekend event, order supplies, postage, petty cash, and other supply inventory

• Always acts professionally and honestly in the representation of GenCare Lifestyle.

• Promotes the Mission, Vision, and Values of GenCare Lifestyle in all areas of responsibility

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to collaborate with staff and external constituents.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Other Requirements:

· Minimum of two (2) years of Senior Living, Hospitality, or Business Development experience preferred in a sales & marketing role.

· Self-starter, proven track record of success in closing sales

  • Must possess excellent leadership and communication skills, be creative, fun loving and have a caring disposition towards the elderly.
  • An enthusiastic, flexible, energetic people person, capable of managing diverse personalities and professionalism in all work-related situations
  • Must also have a current driver’s license.
  • Have a neat, professional, courteous manner and appearance.
  • Willing to work shift assigned, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision; problem solving, conflict management, budgeting.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, typing and ability to learn new applications: minimum skills include Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, and Excel), CRM and email marketing programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2 years + Demonstrated Sales and Marketing experience and success.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including, database management systems, Excel, Outlook, MS Office.
  • Strong desire to work with the senior population.
  • Professional with qualities as such: energetic, positive, team player, and willingness to get it done!

· High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Marketing preferred.
