What You’ll Do

Product Marketing is the tie that binds our product strategy to the approach, campaigns and deliverables needed to fuel marketing, sales and product success. As the Director of Product Marketing, you will manage the Product Marketing team, priorities, strategy, delivery and success metrics across all products. You will become an evangelist for the business and Otto customers, and understand intimately the value that Otto brings to the market versus competitors.

We are looking for a marketing athlete that’s highly analytical, collaborative, creative, and strategic, yet action-oriented. You will work closely with Product, Marketing, Sales and Customer Success, as well as the CEO and Executive team, to champion and execute a winning go-to-market strategy and communications plan. If this sounds like you, we hope you will apply!

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Product marketing strategy: Build and execute a product marketing strategy that improves the success of our solutions in our target markets, including GTM strategy, positioning guidance, performance metrics and required budget.
  • Product launch process: Understand the multiple types of product and feature launches, and design cross functional processes to ensure stakeholders understand their parts and get the resources needed.
  • Leadership: Mentor and lead the Product Marketing team, be a partner to Executives, act as a cross-functional partner, and be a champion of the brand and products internally and externally.
  • Expertise: Increase internal expertise and empathy around our buyers and users - illuminating who they are, how they make buying decisions, and why they’d choose Otto. Build direct relationships with our customers, and act as a conduit of information and learning to them and from them.
  • Product positioning and content strategy: Utilize customer research, competitive intel and guidance from our in-house experts to develop product positioning and messaging that is meaningful to our target buyer personas.
  • Business alignment and enablement: Ensure that cross-functional teams are educated on new products and capabilities, are trained and aligned on product messaging and positioning, and can tell a compelling story of our value.
  • Launch management: Plan and oversee the launches of net-new products and improvements for existing products, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Performance assessment and reporting: Set and report on KPIs that help the broader organization understand the strengths and weaknesses of each product go-to-market strategy, as well as performance of the product against promised value.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: including product development, marketing, sales, and customer support, to be a continued advocate for our products.
  • Create and manage a range of product focused marketing materials: including brochures, sales sheets, presentations, and digital content.
  • Conduct market analysis: Understand industry trends and identify opportunities for product positioning and messaging.
  • Work closely with the sales team: Support sales team efforts with effective marketing collateral and tools as well as understanding how our products are received in demos.
  • Monitor and report: on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Stay updated: with industry trends and best practices in veterinary technology and marketing.
  • Own website positioning: around product pages, product collateral and product downloadables
