About Our Opportunity

We are seeking an E-Commerce Social Media & Content Supervisor to work in the Philadelphia Corporate office. The E-Commerce Social Media & Content Supervisor will be responsible for the creative aspect of online content creation, including content writing, SEO research and social media initiatives. This position is responsible for creating and adhering to standards, internal and customer brand voice, and the organization and timely delivery of optimized product content.

Responsibilities

Creates, maintains, organizes and edits product content for e-commerce customers, including written content, images and spreadsheet uploads.
Establishes templates by product category, ensemble, and theme that follow retail goals and party industry best practices.
Ensures content is accurate, engaging and written in a style that utilizes search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and customers’ guidelines.
Evaluates current product naming conventions, product descriptions and optimizes and rewrites as necessary for individual customer website needs.
Ensures that content is sufficiently different for each customer to ensure no duplicate online content issues are created.
Conducts online research to develop and maintain a database of SEO-friendly keywords and content guidelines by product category and theme.
Creates meta data and product keyword lists for customers’ sites, as needed.
Writes and/or edits original party content (e.g. feature articles, promotional text, party planning tips, party ideas and guides) for company and customer use.

Collaborates cross functionally with all departments and customers as necessary to ensure projects deadlines are met, progress is tracked and communicated accordingly.

Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

Strong creative writing, proof-reading/editing and communications skills
Strong research and analysis skills
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required

High school diploma or its equivalent required; undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communication, English, Journalism or related field preferred
Some prior experience in Online Content Creation or Search Engine Optimization required; at least 1 year strongly preferred
