Creative Marketing Student Intern

Outdoor Cap is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Marketing Creative Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity for college students with backgrounds in graphic design, visual arts, fine arts, or journalism to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced marketing environment. We are looking for individuals with a passion for creative design, copywriting, and photography, who are eager to contribute to our marketing campaigns and build their portfolios.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the marketing team to support creative campaigns through design, copywriting and photography.
• Assist in the creation of marketing materials across various platforms, including print, digital, and social media.
• Utilize a blend of traditional design techniques and new technologies, including AI-powered tools for creative assets.
• Contribute creative ideas and concepts to brainstorming sessions and team meetings.
• Work closely with the photographer to assist with product photography and image editing as needed.
• Support ongoing projects and initiatives to ensure timely delivery and high-quality output.

Skills and Competencies

• Demonstrated ability to think creatively and generate innovative ideas for visual design, copywriting, and photography.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to create visually appealing marketing materials.

• Basic understanding of photography principles and techniques, with the ability to assist with product photography and image editing.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive copy for various marketing channels.
• Possess organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and processes.

Education and Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program, pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Fine Arts, AD/PR, Journalism, or related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is preferred.
• Strong creative skills and a keen eye for design, typography, and photography.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from senior team members.
• Passion for marketing and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic industry.

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Must be able to remain sedentary (seated) for most of the day and occasionally reach, bend and move inside the office to access files and product.
• Required to have close visual acuity to perform computer tasks and operate other office machinery.
• The person in this position frequently communicates with internal and external customers and must be able to exchange accurate information in a clear manner.
• Ability to move 10-20 lbs. occasionally throughout day.
