Sales Support Specialist

Monroe Biomedical Research is preparing for significant expansion of its clinical research operations, including expanded infrastructure and new clinical trial site locations. We are looking for a talented Sales Support Specialist to help support these exciting efforts.

As a Sales Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying and securing new clinical trial opportunities for our site locations. You will leverage your understanding of the clinical research industry, coupled with advanced analytical and sales support skills, to drive our growth and expand our portfolio of trials. This position requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a passion for making a difference in the field of clinical research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support sales cycle, including market research and initial outreach to introductory meetings and feasibility questionnaires.
• Conduct research and analysis to identify potential sponsors, CROs, and clinical trial opportunities.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of contacts and leads within the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
• Support the development and execution of outreach and marketing strategies to engage potential sponsors and promote our research capabilities.
• Coordinate with our clinical and administrative teams to prepare and submit study feasibility questionnaires for new trials.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that may impact clinical trial opportunities.
• Provide regular reports and updates on sales efforts, pipeline status, and potential opportunities to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a similar role
• Experience within the clinical research or pharmaceutical industry preferred
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret data and industry trends
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements is a plus
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ideal candidates will be in the greater Charlotte area; fully remote candidates based on the East Coast may also be considered

The estimated hiring range for this role is $55,000-70,000 and may include additional bonus potential. This hiring range is specific to the North Carolina market and could vary in other regions based upon local market conditions. Offers for employment will ultimately reflect a salary determined after careful consideration of a variety of relevant factors, including but not limited to: experience, skills, education and certifications.
