Title: Assistant Social Media Manager

Location: Greater Philadelphia Area


Position Summary

Industry leading children’s consumer goods company is seeking an Assistant Social Media Manager to help drive awareness of our brands and products by implementing strategies and tactics that grow our followers, engage and retain them, and help convert them into leads, customers, and fans.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have command of best practices and trends in social media marketing, enjoy being creative, and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage designated brand’s social media profiles, calendar and presence, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and additional channels relevant to the brand’s target audience.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team on campaign strategy, new customer acquisition tactics, influencer/creator content needs (that are on brand & on trend), and whitelisting/partnership opportunities.
  • Partner with the Community Management team to maintain the brand voice in all of our social communications and maximize the connection between our VIP group and our organic social including capturing UGC, leveraging cross-promotion opportunities, and identify trends unique to the community.
  • Work alongside cross-functional team members (including photography, videography, brand and marketing teams) to develop and distribute content that educates and entertains our audience and supports marketing goals.
  • Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success.
  • Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence.
  • Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks to reach our target consumers.
  • Research social media trends and inform team of changes that inform and impact marketing activities.
  • Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, and track, measure, and analyze all initiatives to report on social media ROI.

Position Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing or related field
  • 3-5+ years relevant experience in a Social Media role
  • Active and well-rounded personal presence in social media, with a command of each network and their best practices.
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
  • Proficiency in using social media software to monitor social media conversations. You will be our ear to the ground to route the appropriate marketer, sales rep, and/or support rep to social conversations.
  • Bonus experience and skills include Adobe Creative Suite, demand generation, inbound marketing, and influencer experience.
