Growth Product Manager

GitKraken
Scottsdale, AZ
  • Full-Time
Job Description
Salary:

The Company:

GitKraken makes a suite of legendary Git tools and services that help developers be more productive – and teams collaborate more closely – wherever they are and wherever they code. We are on a mission to make Git easier, safer, and more powerful across multiple surfaces and environments. Our Git tools are designed to enable developers to streamline workflows and maximize collaboration.  We are a profitable, sustainably growing tech company that values talent, drive, and the ability to make an impact. Join us in powering 30M+ global developers from 100K+ organizations!

The Role:

As a Growth Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving GitKraken’s new business growth through strategic marketing initiatives. You will be responsible for going end-to-end in identifying and executing opportunities to continuously improve performance at every stage of our product funnels. Your deep understanding of growth channels, plus your obsession with optimizing funnel performance through experimentation, will drive user and customer acquisition at scale. Ideally you’ll be joining GitKraken after a successful stint in Growth Marketing, Product Marketing or Product Management at a PLG (product-led growth) business like ours.

This role requires a balance of analytical prowess and creative problem-solving. You’ll work at the intersection of Product, Marketing, and Data, ensuring an optimal end-to-end user experience (think: ad → landing page → thank you page → trial email workflow → in-product new user onboarding). We’re looking for someone who is constantly innovating and never afraid to challenge the current results and reality, in pursuit of growth. You’ll be an expert in testing campaigns (ad creative, landing pages, CTAs, end-to-end user journeys) and thrive in a performance-oriented environment where success is measured in tangible metrics. You’ll also be additive to a high-energy team dynamic, bringing an attitude that’s equal parts “can do” and “what if we tried”. The successful candidate will be eager to excel as an individual contributor but even more concerned about winning as a team.

We are committed to having an inclusive and authentic work environment where unique perspectives, skills, and backgrounds are celebrated. We work hard to foster diversity in our workplace and encourage people from all backgrounds to apply. Even if you don't meet 100% of the requirements, don't let self-filtering and imposter syndrome get in the way of a great fit. We would love to hear from you!

What you'll do:

  • Implement new growth strategies to drive awareness, engagement, acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Go end-to-end ideating, developing, managing and reporting on marketing campaigns across various digital channels.
  • Embody GitKraken’s values: we’re developer first; strive to delight; in it together; we look inward, enjoy the journey; have a bias to action; we say ←→ do.
  • Analyze and leverage data to identify trends, optimize campaigns, and increase marketing efficiency and ROI.
  • Lead A/B and multivariate testing strategies and conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Content/Product Marketing, Product and Partnerships to align marketing strategies with company goals.
  • Deeply understand GitKraken’s new user experience and identify opportunities to improve email trial workflows in HubSpot and other communication touchpoints that lead to trial conversions.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and advancements in digital marketing technologies and platforms.
  • Report on performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to leadership for informed decision-making.
  • Develop and implement frameworks and processes to ensure team success, including tracking and measurement of marketing programs.
  • Establish and analyze KPIs that support key growth metrics and effectively deploy marketing resources to drive results.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in Growth Product/Marketing or a related field, with a proven track record of scaling users and customers.
  • Mobile + web acquisition experience especially in a subscription model.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with tools like Google Analytics (GA4), Tableau, Segment, etc. to create performance reports that can be used to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to continually conceive, design and run A/B tests,  as well as analyze + report on performance.
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools, ideally HubSpot.
  • Creating HubSpot campaign reports to show performance of various assets.
  • Basic web development experience with WordPress or other CMSs to create and update landing pages.
  • Ability to create wireframes and landing page mockups in tools like Figma or Canva.
  • Experience managing multi-channel marketing and attribution.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong project management abilities, capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously under tight time constraints.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid or remote environment.
  • Passionate about technology and staying at the forefront of digital marketing trends.
  • Ability to collect and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data, while highlighting trends, measuring performance, and influencing leaders based on data analysis.
  • Outstanding problem solver who can work through highly ambiguous challenges.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills that can be adapted for audiences at all levels across the organization.

Bonus points:

  • Product Marketing or Product Management experience.
  • Experience leading growth in the developer tooling space (GitHub, GitLab, Docker, etc.) and/or PLG companies (Slack, Figma, Zoom, Calendly, Dropbox, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Git, software development, and/or targeting developers as a primary audience.
  • Understanding of developer workflows, tooling, and industry trends.
