Job Description
The Account Director-Experiential must exude a high level of confidence, have strong communication and social skills (speaking, listening, and writing) and excel at presenting formal and informal presentations to clients/interagency partners and leadership at all levels of the organization. He/she must be flexible and comfortable working within a fast-paced agency or similar environment. The Account Director will report to the Head of Account Services and manage and oversee a team of Account Supervisors and Account Executives.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary account contact with senior-level clients.
- Manage and nurture internal and external relationships.
- Ensure the account team is delivering project deliverables on brand, on budget, and on time.
- Support Group Account Director manages projects according to SOW and identifies opportunities to build the agency’s position as a key partner in the business.
- Manage a team of brand and retail Account Supervisors who will oversee the day-to-day management of creative and community campaigns.
- Participate in strategy development meetings.
- Serve as an expert on the client’s business by staying abreast of competitive, industry, and market trends.
- Collaborate and communicate across the broader agency team to identify opportunities or challenges with deliverables/budget framework and proactively to provide creative solution.
- Develop POVs as needed in collaboration with all key stakeholders.
- Partner with the Group Account Director and Business Lead in developing and managing the agency's scope of work and budgets.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of account management experience, preferably on the agency side
- Familiarity with and success in developing integrated marketing campaigns across video, audio, digital, social and print media
- Team player with strong people management and mentoring experience
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams primarily). Must be familiar with file sharing protocols such as FTP, Dropbox, etc.
- African American advertising experience with a deep understanding of the African American GEN Z audience highly preferred
- Results driven leader with enthusiastic, positive, and flexible attitude
- Very strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple conflicting priorities in a rapidly changing environment
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred but not required.
Please note that candidates must be in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area. Open to candidates being in a commutable distance, like Houston.
